Well I wasn’t expecting that! A wee diversion to avoid traffic, and we went past this. I had to stop to show you guys as I feel you’d love it/ would put a smile on your face if anything!
I’ve since discovered the mural is actually by Bec Dennison of @bulletonastring and was inspired by the ‘famous’ (well maybe it will be now) Cat Wall of Newhaven. I must admit it put a massive smile on my face, as not only do I LOVE a bit of eccentricity, I also love that pop of colour!
So cat house… Love it, or hate it. Vote in the Poll!

I can’t tell you how busy it’s been these school holidays. A theme running through for me has been ‘guilt’
I’ve felt guilty for not working enough, guilty for working too much and not doing enough with the kids, guilty for letting my exercise regime go out the window, guilty for eating too many crisps, guilty that Steven and I have been like ships passing in the night…the juggle is tiring! As is the pressure I put on myself, and is put on women in particular to do it all, and be everything for everyone.
And yet…
Now the school holidays are drawing to the end, and I’ll get a bit of routine back, I’m feeling grateful for every snatched moment wether it be dragging them to work with us, or mornings like yesterday, down the beach, just watching them play 🥰
I read recently that you only get 18 summers with your kids. Of course I’m hoping the reality of that is not always exacting! So before i start to panic and continue to feel guilty about this years holidays being swallowed up with work things too…..those with older children, do you agree with the 18 summers statement?

It’s feeling rather Cathedral like in there since the internal scaffolding came down that’s a fact 😍
Imagine this. Stairway on right up to open landing. Gorgeous double doors on the ground floor through to your kitchen dining room leading out to the terrace, and then the garden. It’s going to be stunning!
Needs a stunning light hanging from that vaulted ceiling that’s for sure. Suggestions welcomed….

Hopefully we will have some windows going in this week. I always feel like places start feeling like homes as soon as the windows go in. Doesn’t matter that it’s still a shell inside. The windows just make it feel like you’re nearly there (even though you’re not!!😂)
